I wanted to retain the ability to fade front to rear on the sound so I'm running this as a 4 Channel 2ohm with the low pass filter so I get crisp mid's & high's. Now this AMP is 4 Channel or bridged at 2/3 Channel which wasn't ideal for me but again I compare all the options vs cost so we will get to the BASS later. On to the AMP with 6 Channel out on my deck I needed a 5 or 6 channel AMP to push the speakers plus my BASS. I compared the RCA Channel outputs, Hands Free, Steering Wheel controls, HD/Sirius and price and went with a Kenwood deck with 6 Channel out for $150. Next onto the head unit, after searching every pro audio review I could find there was 5 models that were always in the top 10 reviews. I settled on 2 pair of JBL 6 1/2 at 200 watts peak for about $50 pair. They manufacture JBL & Infinity speakers so after a bunch of comparisons RMS Output and Peak Power vs. I have a Harmon Kardon Bluetooth speaker that blasts with incredible clarity so I started there. At full blast you could have a normal conversation with passengers. I purchased a car a few months back with the worst OEM radio I ever heard but it was a steel of a deal. I won't say I'm cheep, but prior to any purchase I will spend a month or more comparing products & models. The best most expensive amp behind a junk deck or pushing lousy speakers is just going to make "bad" sound louder. WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - This is going to be lengthy but I believe an amp is only 1 piece of the puzzle in your audio system. The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65"). Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website? Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels.
